General Election 2020 Part 2

MicheƔl Martin is going to try and form a coaltion with FG and some independents. This may extend to the Green Party.

Fianna Fail and Fine Gael. Two cheeks of the one smelly arse. If the Greens want to be in the middle of that, they will get more than carbon emissions

I never saw that coming

Our man ROD is meeting Martin at the weekend.

Who would of thunk it?

No one saw this coming :open_mouth:

The Micks voted for Change. Fine Gael have no mandate to go into government.

Lol - 4 days ago you were on a relentless whinge about FG had to be kicked out of government and now youā€™re asking us back in.

Your definition of ā€œchangeā€ is fairly fuzzy isnā€™t it?

Iā€™m not asking you at all ā€” I want to know the reasons why.

Not that itā€™ll bother you, but no one ever suggested that SF go into gov in the UK. They suggested they could use their vote in a one-off scenario

I am confident that if SF need a vote to approve a suitable Brexit deal, FG wonā€™t be found wanting. Itā€™ll be kinda like that time SF donned the green jersey to vote for the bank guarantee while in gov :muscle:

Off the top of my head - the main stumbling block would be your fiscal policy - which is completely incompatible with FGs.

Politics is about compromise ā€” they could make it work.

#weak

Michael Ring did the other night.

Itā€™s time for FG to grow up.

Are Fine Gael your preferred coalition partner?

Whoever has the best interests of the country at heart is my favoured partner.

Box ticking exercise

Is ROD of FF genepool?

Iā€™m dreading going into work today. Trying to earn an honest living yet guaranteed to be subjected to more vicious anti-Sinn FĆ©in bullying. Itā€™s imperative that corporates (in Dublin especially) authorise their diversity and inclusion networks to roll out programmes in this area as soon as possible.

SF should form a coalition of the Left and get on with it. See how many they get and form a minority government. FFG winter dare being it down for at least 2 years and certainly wont bring it down on policy issues. Theyā€™ll wait for an Up the RA sign song type incident.
As someone who voted for change I wouldnā€™t like to see FG involved
