General Election 2020 Part 2

Ah no, Iā€™ve definitely had worse

The Fine Gaelers are turning into Brexiteers on Wakefield High Street before our very eyes.

No, they offered them a coalition. FF said no. SF had gone on holiday so someone had to run the country.

75% of the voters voted for change then. Only 56% did this time. The mandate for change has fallen drastically.

Fine Gael are afraid to govern.

Nah - FF was a vote for change this time, whether you like it or not. A different change than other parties (although all were different to each other obviously) but change all the same

The figures donā€™t lie - a whopping 19% decline - the mandate for CHANGE has collapsed.

Disappointed to see Eamonn Ryan on the news there exiting Leinster House in a Diesel powered Volkswagen minibus @Little_Lord_Fauntleroy

@tallback is in for a horrible few years if he doesnt let this anger go

Not really, Labour still had over 6% themselves.

Others should have formed a government though, thatā€™s the reality.

Iā€™m genuinely worried for a few ladsā€¦ They, and their families, had generations of slicing the pie up at willā€¦ The rug has been pulled now and their whole world view is crumbling.

They can always spend their time objecting to social housing developments.

It was never meant to be like this

The gymnastics being performed by all and sundry to avoid going into government is a sight to behold. Can we just let the Greens at it with their 12 TDs? Theyā€™d jump at the chance and all, the poor divils.

The way itā€™s going, with IRA/SF so scared of government and trying to form one, we could end up having to prop them up. The RIC commemoration going ahead has to be a pre-condition to any such arrangement.

What about the Healy Raes, Mattie McGrath, Michael Lowry, Noel Grealish, Peter Fitzpatrick and Verona Murphy with confidence and supply from FFG? Maybe Jack Chambers could round out the cabinet. According to @Smark, this sort of government would be a representative sample of the public mood.

So long as they can all agree which pothole to fix first it might just work. Top-voted pothole on FFā€™s PotFix app goes first.

Iā€™m happy for Sinn Fein and Greens to go in. Iā€™d even take Soc Dems, Shorthall is decent enough. Iā€™d cap it at that.
