Gibraltar v Ireland

Who is going to be Ireland’s keeper this week? Forde, Given or Randolph? I can’t recall a poorer selection of keepers in over 30 years of watching this countrys association football side.

Looks like Rocko tried to set a trap for @Big_Dan_Campbell and was probably waiting at the desolate sports ground in Portmarnock to mug him.

O’Neill has cut the squad from 28 to 23. Out go McShane (injured), O’Kane (despite being talked up by Roy Keane in the media today), Rooney, Pilkington and Pearce.

+1

I really dislike Pilkington for some reason. Probably a harmless chap but I despise him.

I assume Popey will do his usual craic of not naming the team til an hour before kick off. Assume we will play 4-4-2 tonight

Brent is really diversifying these days

Ireland team v Gibraltar; Given, Christie, Clark, O’Shea, Brady; Hendrick, Whelan, McCarthy, Hoolahan; Walters, Keane.

What time is kickoff?

7.45 son.

Sadlier for Dunphy

Cyrus Christie has done more in the opening ten minutes here than Coleman has done in the last 6 months for Ireland

Yeehaw!

the improvement in Gibralter is phenomenal
they look quite organised here and while offering nothing they actualy look like a team, its an utterly different set up from last october
now, they may totally fall apart after the goal but i must say im very impressed with their opening showing compared to when i last saw them

I like Christie’s moxey. He has nice quick feet too, well taken goal

they’ re playing a 3-2-4-1 with the 2 sitting in from of the back 3 and its not that bad in fairness to them, ure relying on ur wide men to run their bollux off tho and whilst primarily defenders here they’re getting ran at hard and are creaking, they’re fit tho and hard in the tackle, i can see now why the Lincoln Red Imps progressed in the Champions league earlier this season

Roy Chippolina could make it as a footballer professionally id say, quite composed and has good positioning

no doubt the forum are aware i visited Gibralter in 2010, where we dined in a Moroccan restaurant
its a most congested place with a wonderful diverse culture, ud here words in Hebrew been spoken in the local language also
Its an absolute shithole tho of epic proportons
