Gibraltar v Ireland

that lad Walker has a lovely strike on a ball…

As an aside Jeff Hendrick is useless

Yet another game for Ireland where James McCarthy is anonymous

They have lovely stadium, the Gibraltarese. Their version of John Delaney must be some man.

Robbie Keane right place right time, what a man

Walters has started the second half well. There is the ubiquitous Robbie Keane goal

if Robbie gets a hatrick tonight he will draw level with Gert Muller’s international tally

Robbie’s hat-trick is on

Robbie Keane.

Didn’t seem to be much contact there but howsever.

Both the new and old town in Albufeira will be rocking tonight :grinning:

About right. There’s a shower of lads from Ballinamore enviorns on a stag there taking in the match. I can envision them, big ruddy heads on them roaring and conducting “showeldering matches”… The fuckers think offside is riding their mates bird…

I would’nt mind being over there all the same, not a bad spot for an away qualifier, I thoroughly enjoyed Albufeira a few years ago, cheap grub, cigarettes and booze with decent weather, what more do want.

Georgia on Monday night is going to be like a cup final.

Hoolahan has been well below par tonight which is very dissapointing, the midfield has also been anonymous, massively need to up it before Monday night.

Brady and Christie were very good though.

Hoolahan has been dreadful tonight.

Ireland have badly missed Darryl Murphy tonight

he’s been poor…
Hendrick is a joke tho
fuck our inability to create chances is worrying
i still give these lads a bit of credit tho, they’re past the tiring phase, a team usually “fold” on 70 ish mins, Gibralter have really done ok

McGeady’s situation is very concerning. Should have tried to go to Celtic on loan or something to get his fitness and confidence up

Not going to happen but I’d like to see Christie at right back with Coleman on the wing tried sometime

yeah, head down all the time.
