Booked a ticket to see Aldous Harding in Liverpool in December.
If the weather behaves itself, Charlatans and Primal Scream on the pier.
Iāll be having a great weekend listening in my garden
Madness with Mrs Jones tonight, ah lovely
Iāll be at Snow Patrol and The Cure in Malahide Castle next Friday and Saturday. *
Let the haters hate.
- where is best place to go for a pint or two of bubbly Guinness poured with a press of a button into a wet glass after the gig to let the crowds die down before making my way back towards the city.
Enjoy pal. Be comfortable in your own skin.
(Snow Patrol have a couple of great songs)
Donāt do it mate.
(The Cure are perfectly fine).
I hate when acts you donāt want to see get added to bands you want to see. I hated paddy Casey and the thrills and saw them each about three times one summer as they were handed the support act for any concert I went to.
Snow patrol are bland but not as bad as either of the above two and I wouldnāt mind sitting through them. Inoffensive TUM type material.
I know what you mean pal. The Kooks are supporting Snow Patrol and I have no grĆ” for them. But I find if I want to avoid a support act I can just go a bit later to the gig.
Are Snow Patrol still dining out on that āI predict a riotā song?
This was over 10 years ago and I was young and enthusiastic and wanted to be up the front. I remember being in the front row for the rolling stones and sickened at suffering through those thrills cunts.
I would prefer The Thrills to Snow Patrol.

This is unreal now ā¦ Rosenstock predicted the future in his caricature of the Thrills ā snowflakes speaking in American accents ā¦ thatās practically anyone under 25 these days,.
Funnily enough I will see the Kaiser Chiefs on Sunday pal who do a great cover version of that Snow Patrol song pal.
Snow Patrol are better known for their cover version of the Leona Lewis song Run.
I have noticed weāve largely lost regional accents in anybody outside Dublin under 25. Canāt blame a lad not wanting to have a Dunleer or Limerick accent and want to be taken seriously.
All accents are great and should be preserved.
A real sign of weakness if a person loses their accent
+1
Lads from the likes of Wexford and Laois and Leitrim moving up to Dublin and losing their accent in a week.
Mrs OāSullivan gets very embarrassed at weddings/functions when all the RoCo crowd are pronouncing their words correctly and then I pipe up in front of all her rich friends calling everyone ākidā - fuck em.
My father in law is from the Wesht but has worked in Dublin for 40+ years as a bus driver.
People say that his West of Ireland accent has grown stronger in that time.
