I was the second night too mate. I thought it was class. Really beautiful. He played out of time (from think tank) in the encore.
No encore on the Wednesday night
Ah come on. He did three songs for us. Ye must have been a terrible audience. Or maybe it was because Leo Varadkar was there on the Thursday.

A 3 song encore is the expected norm
I don’t have an issue with acts who don’t play encores. The whole encore thing is a bit of an artificial construct anyway.

I would be in favour of bands only giving encores when they felt the crowd deserved it or shouted loud enough for it.
How many times have you been at a gig where the audience chatted away throughout and clapped politely after the ‘last’ song only for the band (or performer) to saunter out 30 seconds later right on script . Just play a longer set and reward a good audience
