Giro d'Italia 2014

Held up by a crash.

He was caught out by the major pile up at the end of the cat.4 climb before the finish. Very serious incident, loads of riders lost huge amounts of time, including Rodriguez

Rodriguez is out now really hope he goes to the Tour if fit. Roche will be stage hunting now.Evans is rolling back the years, I still think Quintana will crush him in the mountains. Uran and Pozzovivo look like the big challengers but Majka will be close too.

Roche and Deignan in the break of the day. Roche must really fancy his chances here if he can attack on that last climb, Monsalve and especially Moreno look his big dangers.

Roche got into the front three in breakaway but Roche has just been attacked and has completely cracked. He just has never delivered

He rides like he’s clean you mean.

Finally the real Giro starts today, I hope Quintana and Pozzovivo attack today. My money for the win is on, Rolland 25/1, Kiserlovski 40/1 and my outsider Priedler 150/1.

In the mountains today? Mighty. Might have a watch.

Roche in the break again unless his form has improved I can’t see him doing much.

Bjarne Riis is very good at getting sudden improvements out of his riders so all is not lost.

It would be like raising Lazarus to get a performance out of Nico.

It’s like this innit:
If he goes well there are serious question marks
If he doesn’t he will be found out yet again as just not being good enough

Good attack by Roland. This is going to be relentless for next 50k now!!!

Roche attacks the lead group.

Roche first over the penultimate climb but only 10 seconds ahead of original group. Seems like a lot of wasted energy for very little gain if you ask me. Roland & Hesjedal rolling along nicely behind

Roche finished 5th but wasn’t in the shake up for the stage. Great ride from him though.

Uran looked fucked crossing the line

Philip Deignan close to winning this

Shit! Big boys attacking now - he only has a 10 second lead

Caught by Roland with about 3k to go.
Go back about your business

Good finish in store from a GC perspective anyway.
