Could @rocko and @bandage go down the charity route to fund TFK? They’re providing mental health services to a wide spectrum of society, including Muldoons, cat burglars, sexual deviants, slavers and highly successful businessmen in London, Dublin and Poland. They’re saving the country a fortune.
But they are not businesses and people don’t want to be paying their wages.
As well as that they are very often proven to not be anywhere near worth what they are paid notwithstanding the other robbery and junckets some engaged in over the years.
Of course they are businesses, just like any non profit. The garbage you’re sprouting on this thread is precisely why so many charities are so poorly run. Of course there are instances of fraud, just like in any business sector, but in the great majority of cases charities are just inefficient, because they are run by morons who wouldn’t manage a dog kennel. Any sizable charity needs a professional or professionals managing it, otherwise its just a bunch of people running around like chickens with their heads cut off. What kills many charities is high admin costs, and high admin costs are a symptom of bad or non existent management in any business.
There are countless superb charities and what they all have in common is they are run by professionals who have the knowledge and experience to run a non-profit business… and yes, you have to pay them the market rate for the job, otherwise you won’t attract the type of person needed, and end up with bluffers and chancers.
Name 10 of them
Absolute rubbish. Some of these well paid business heros have robbed money as well. And many have made a balls of charities.
Notwithstanding they are not getting the best people, they just shuffle the deck around and its the same assholes in various roles moving around.
And while a few of them have good business records, many have none and are only the relation or son or daughter of someone who built a great business.
For someone who pretends to be “educated” you are pretty stupid sometimes.
I know and listen to someone who has worked at the front line with some of the biggest organisations in Ireland and the world. I ain’t going to listen to some bluffer like you.
And maybe add these legendary business people that are doing sych a wonderful job too, and maybe their proven records.
The lance armstrong one
Charities - not organisations that line the pockets of a drug addict cyclist
Wasn’t Livestrongs goal to “raise awareness of cancer” as opposed to “seeking a cure for cancer”? A great lil niche to dig your way into.
Ya like nobody ever heard of cancer.
Its like fat guys who lose weight and then become personal trainers, as if that and the online weeke d PT course qualifies them to train 50 year old women with serious thyroid issues.
Armstrong was the same. Although i often wonder did he have it at all.
Did he have what at all?
Cancer
It was so simplistic in its genius. “Raising awareness” is a great bit of a scam when you think about it.
Ah now
Jim Breens Cycle Against Suicide are also in the business of raising awareness and in fairness they do. However they gather a fair chunk of money every year and don’t seem to spend a whole lot of it.
Much stranger lies have been gotten away with.
And can he be trusted?
Is there any rules for charities on what percentage of money needs to put away for a rainy day to deal with something unexpected? I can understand the likes of GOAL and Concern having a funds put away so that they can access them quickly if there is a disaster to deal with.
Aye, John O Shea was good at putting funds away alright
Another odious cunt. Jaysus the media loved the bollocks. And he railroaded All Ireland Champions year on year into showing up for his charidee match.
what?
a vile post
