Just finished “Small Things Like These”, set in New Ross. Nicely put together. Grand short read.
I’m not sure how this works

Though I’m not sure what share means in that context??
Think that just gives a link to allow them to download (pay for) the book.
I’d say the person still has to pay. Send me the play makers there and we see.
I’ve just started this last night, Trespasses by Louise Kennedy
I laughed out loud for a long time at the first seven lines of this page describing the bar flies in a late 1970s pub in NI
I would highly recommend this cc @Midshipman_Asha @Malarkey @KinvarasPassion @anon67715551 and to anyone with any interest in farming.
An excellent read.
The last line of the paragraph for example
Nearing the end of the Hilary Mantel triolgy on the rise and fall of Thomas Cromwell, from being the son of Putney blacksmith to being the most power man in England.
Slow to start but worth sticking with and a fascinating account of the years of Henry VIII’s reign. I’ve listened to it as opposed to reading it but I’d highly recommend it.
I’ve heard it’s very good.
I’ve been reading Circle Jerk - it’s awful. It’s about a group of anonymous posters on an internet forum who can’t cope with anything outside group think. They make inane quips and invent lies for cheap likes among each other.
@glenshane put me onto it.
I heard about that one. A Limerick author I believe
I’ve just started this. Shaping up to be a cracker.
I really enjoyed it
I enjoyed it. A little bleak but a decent story well told
@flattythehurdler and I read this. A jarring episode in the middle of it spoiled it for me. Plus the fact that one of the characters was a fan of the Wexford Junior Hurling team. Who follows a county junior team?
I’d agree with Fagan here. Promised more than it delivered.
Just finished Rita Hayworth and Shawshank redemption
Outstanding book, even knowing about the plot in great detail.
Looking forward to ‘The Body’ now from the same collection
Nearly finished Crossroads from Jon Franzen. Not as enjoyable as some of his previous work.
Donal Ryan is an excellent writer.
Can’t wait, he’s the best Irish writer ever for my generation
I’m not sure what that means.
