This is a very good book. Putin is some boyo. The amounts being siphoned out are staggering. The compromising is off the charts.

I bought it for 20p on Amazon last week and had it delivered to my father. I was out at weekend and enquired after the book and was he reading it. He said he was and it was ok. My mother said he’d been reading it constantly since it arrived.

I picked up Robert Ballagh’s autobiography from the bargain bins of Eason’s last week. A character who always interested me. God knows when I’ll get to actually read it.
Robert Ballagh lived (lives?) in Temple Cottages which to my eye is one of the nicest streets in Dublin. Tucked up against the wall of the Kings Inns.

I was down in Hodges Figgis today to pick up something and I bought Kevin Barry City of Bohane for myself.
They’ve a section with new books and the new Robert Harris had a lot of real estate. Stanley Tucci - Taste was also prominent. There were lots and lots of new books. It must be very difficult for any aspiring author to break in and sell books - a lot of talent and then a lot of luck involved.

That’s the man. I had a celeb spot of him years ago on the Luas at The Four Courts.
Also reportedly voted against the Good Friday Agreement due to the removal of articles 2 and 3.
They have to pay handsomely for the real estate.
