That scene was lifted straight from Where Eagles Dare which really annoyed me. I know Tarantino likes to ‘reference’ films but there’s a difference between “inspired by” and lifting an entire piece. There were a few other bits and characters that looked far closer to theft than updates for me. Anyway, I think I’m going to see Django tonight, I’ll keep an open mind.
The first time I saw Jackie I turned it off, was expecting something more along the lines of Pulp/ Res dogs. Watched it a few years later and I throughly enjoyed it. Worth a revisit if you only gave it the one try.
It’s worth another viewing for Bridget Fonda’s bottom alone.
ok I’m convinced

That’s women for ya!
Sat down and watched Jackie Brown for the first time last night. Enjoyable film.

Caught a bit of Jackie last night. Still not impressed. Pam Grier was very good but found De Niro irritating. Can’t love 'em all.
The latest jake gylehall movie is very good
Watched Seven Psychopaths earlier, thought it was class, Sam Rockwell steals the show.
Enjoyed it. Stand Up Guys is shit, I like Al Pacino as an actor but he overacts in certain films and becomes annoying, this is one of those films.
I thought In Bruges was shit so I have little interest in watching this.
As a golden rule I do not watch any movies with Al Pacino in it anymore-his last good movie was Heat and everything he has done since then has ranged from pretty poor to downright awful.
What didn’t you like about In Bruges?
Thought it tried too hard to be funny and wasn’t.
Also Colin Farrell isn’t a great actor.
Horsebox clamped!
Serious egg on his face.
Fuck off.
Donnie Brasco
Any Given sunday
Insomnia
All exellent films, he has done an awful lot of dirge since heat however.
Overacted terribly in Scent of a Woman, which was shown in the Savoy Dublin and Cineworld Parnell St as The Whiff of Gee.
