She’s a few younger than me ![]()
Saw The Voice of Hind Rajab in the cinema this evening. Harrowing. The idf are pure evil.
How would you think she’s sticking it vis-a-vis yourself given ye’re the wan age almost?
I’m on a bit of a retro Richard Attenborough buzz at the minute and rewatched both 10 Rillington Place and Brighton Rock on a quiet day yesterday. Attenborough was one of the finest actors of his era.
The 2 of us are in good shape and enjoying our Golden Years
Went to Send Help there today. An absolute blast. A kind of a cross between a horror film and a survival movie. Some of the best jump scares I’ve had in a long time.
Also great soundtrack by Danny Elfman with a brilliant use of the Blondie song One Way or Another.
Finally and sadly a very good depiction of a toxic male dominated work place.
But mostly a blast. Sam Raimi hasn’t lost his talent for horror.
Just watching Giant here. First movie I’ve ever warmed to Pierce Brosnan.
A banger
I watched Giant about Prince Naseem and Brendan Ingle. It was ok without being great. Told very much from from Brendan Ingle’s perspective. Pierce Brosnan was good as Ingle. The lad who played Naz didn’t convince
Ah yes, the Merchant of Ennis - his name was George O’Mahoney
I Went Down, an early Brendan Gleeson movie, good auld yarn with healthy amount of laughs along the way.
Good Vibrations, about the rise of punk music in Northern Ireland due to a lad called Hooley, was excellent. Really enjoyable watch, lots of familiar irish actors in it
Terri Hooley, a man we all owe a great deal to.
A mighty movie. Good ol bunny and git
Ah comrade, didn’t realise I was blocked by you.
? I wouldn’t block a solid Wexican like yourself
Ah i see now. Missed this originally
Ah, maybe my post had encouraged ya to watch it! I had said same thing 3 days previously.
Interesting though that it went ahead and Naseem still about. Maybe he regrets it all after all that happened.
I got the impression that there was a pair of them in it? Naz’s ego is obviously monstrous but I’d say Brendan’s wasn’t insignificant either. Sad finish to it for both of them really. Naz was a sight to behold in his pomp.
Should have done better alright. I wonder was Naseem’s brothers that much in his ear though? Sure look, Ingle did well wuth Kell Brook as well, qt least he got to do it a second time.
