Irish Soccer journalists are such specky nerds. TOD was probably trying to be Billy Big Bollix with the boys before they got their shot in the press room, he came off a bit too hard. When you’re faced with Miguel Delaney, Ken Early, Dave Kelly, Emmet Malone and whatever other nerds are in there you would get serious notions about your place in the world.

What was the story with the “hard luck” comment by TOD ??

Just heard it on Newstalk there. TOD said “Hard luck” to MON just before the Switzerland post-match interview went to air. MON was maintaining that this was TOD saying one thing off-air and taking a different line in the interview, as opposed to it being the case of TOD just offering commiserations as you would in that situation. MON comes across as very peevish all told.
