Scott Waites has just utterly destroyed Phil Taylor. Waites easily accounted for the 1990 and 1992 World Champion on a comfortable 5-2 scoreline. The 3-leg margin flattered the PDCās flagship player. :lol:
Proper darts by the BDO man. Scott averaged over 100. A 10-dart and a 12-dart finish in there too from the Yorkshire arrowist. Taylor was so rattled he left himself on a bogey 162 finish in one leg. :lol:

Itās nice to see a bdo player get a win on the board for them, they have been utterly humiliated for the majority of this tournament. That is their first win of the night. Is this the first time a bdo player has got an over 100 3-dart average? I know their average for this tournament is around 67 so that is a fine effort from Waites. Canāt say iād heard of the guy before tonight but that puts him firmly on the map and a transfer to the big leagues of the PDC will be on the horizon for him now. He has put himself in the shop window tonight with that display.
But allowing for all this, Taylor is an old man at this stage. I think he should bring out the glasses again that he had at times last year as clearly his eye sight is on the wane.
Taylor will probably still win this out lads.
Waites does need to move to the PDC if he really wants to take his game to the next level and make a real career for himself.

When you see what Scotty did to Taylor there, you can only imagine what a top ranked BDO player would do to the convicted sex offender and poster boy of the PDC.

Cāmon Dunph, Waites won this tournament 4 years ago. Fuck knows why he didnāt move up to the PDC then, heās hardly done anything since.
Heās in to 12/1 from 40s after that performance if any of the BDO fanboys backing their man.

Waites has won this tournament before. Heās averaged 100+ already this week.
I wonder if any of the PDC lads will have the guts to make the step up to the BDO in the near future.
