Not as many diving headers around as I seem to recall, Klinsmann was a wonder exponent of the art. First one in the World Cup was excellent
A shite pundit and boring cunt, but loved a diving header, Shearer
Trevor Brooking FA cup final 1980. The year RTE did not show it because of a strike.

I can’t find it on YouTube but I always liked Ray Houghton’s equaliser against Belgium in the play off for 1998 World Cup. It was going past him but he managed to shape himself to connect on it and send back across the goal.
Probably the man with the greatest leap I’ve ever seen. Karl Heinz Riedle. Like a salmon he was and only average height.
A share of good headers from 2 mins on.
andy cole united vs sunderland in a blue and white jersey on a monday night circa 96/97, he hung in the air for age and then back accross the keeper

The way Pazzini gets across the front of the defender is magical, he has a superb leap and the timing of it all is the coup de grace.
A guy called Horst Hrubesch scored a great header in a European Championships back in the 80’s.
Jimmy Magee loved him. I think he used to refer to him as “The Monster”.

He was actually known as Das Kopfball Ungeheuer. The header beast. He scored the winning penalty in the shoot out against France in 1982.
In the world cup semi. And the winner in the Euro final in 80.
