I’ve very good memories of Niall Quinn’s goal at 1 minute. Ireland had just beaten the Dutch and now they were sure if beating Cyprus and making the playoffs. Saipan hadn’t happened yet. The world was young and full if possibilities, before time got its grubby hands on us.
Cas’s v England at Lansdowne Road in 1990 is an good as any

He was a much better header of the ball than Quinn. Quinn was far better on the ground.
