Great Irish Music

Before I listen to it, why were they ? What was the context ?

Because there was no sport worth discussing? No idea. It was the first time I heard them this year tbh.

Even if you don’t like the song stick with it until big cathal hayden steps in with the reel. Lovely Northern playing with flash, heart, soul and divilment.

New Fontaine’s LP is getting outrageous reviews. 30 years ago they’d be earning a fortune but in the current climate of Spotify and no gigs I’d say they’re barely comfortable.

Thank you very much. Shot on location out past Oughterard somewhere with other bits thrown in from all over the globe. If @balbec looks very closely he might even identify one such location. Also if you like that one Labane auld stock wait till you see the next one. It’s a little bit different shall we say

I heard a few songs from it and one thing is for certain. They are miles ahead of all other Irish bands over the last 10+ years. But that’s not necessarily as good as it sounds!!

Fair play. I was expecting Lough Gur. Do I get a credit for the photo?

Nice one, pal. This song reminds me a bit of Conor Oberst.

They have something alright. I thought their gig in Vicar St was unreal.
