There might be a second round of offers? Some will turn it down. What’s his second choice?
Galway engineering, but the trinity course is the only one he really wanted. He’s really really upset. It’s a first world problem I know, but he swam so far against the current it’s a sickener.

I’m actually gutted for you and him. My youngest didn’t get the points she needed for her course and that’s fair enough. But what’s happened to your lad is just farcical. A bump on the road as someone said . Hopefully it will work out for him

Unless he’s very unlucky he should get that in the second round. Few lads who were offered it will have fallen short of medicine etc and repeat. Hopefully anyway
