Tom Robinson had a great show on generally unknown music covers there on BBC6 at six o’clock tonight that I was listening to when I was out in the car. The one I didn’t realise was a cover was Private Life by Grace Jones which is a Pretenders song.
Paul Young did a cover of this back in the day.
That the Happy Monday’s Step On was a cover of this surprised a lot of listeners.

The main riff in Firestarter by the Prodigy is a Breeders tune.
SRV died 31 years ago this month. He’s still quite possibly the best guitarist to have graced this earth, in my eyes at least.
