Greatest striker?

We’ve had the all important greatest Munster Hurler over the last 25 years… But who do you reckon has been the greatest striker (Professional football player) in that time? Can we get a few names and maybe The dunph to set up a poll?

The fat Ronaldo.

Simply incredible.

Van Basten Was robbed of his best by Injury… I always thought Bergkamp was magic but not prolific enough… I’d go with Romario or Rush

  • Battistuta
  • Stoichkov
  • Raul

-derek Swan
-Dave Tilson
-Tarzan O’ Brien

Fernando Torres
Roberto Baggio
Sparrow O’Loughlin

Barca:
Games 37 Goals 47

Inter:
Games 69 Goals 56

Real:
Games 127 Goals 83

Brazil
Games 97 Goals 62

Wow!

Marco Van Basten

Fran Hitchcock or Hristo Stoichkov.

Yeah you can’t argue with Ronaldo, pity he became a greedy arsehole. But he was unbelievable - that spell with Barca being his peak.

Think his peak went on longer than that.

He was a superbly gifted footballer. Simple as that really.

A young fit Robbie Fowler in his prime was simply unstoppable. Fantastic striker.

Tommy gaynor

ARGUABLY the best to play in Britain over the last 10-15 but Rush would still come in ahead.

Hardly a controversial choice?

He averaged almost 3 goals every 5 games over those first couple of seasons.

Henrik Larsson:thumbsup:

Well I don’t think so but this is an argument that has been had before on here.

Uh Oh.
He had great goal celebrations too which surely count for something.
