Greatest striker?

Anyone mention Der Bomber? Serious poacher with an incredible record. Check it on Wiki, it’s amazing. Also fond of a beer.
That was just when I was getting into football seriously but Alridge was a class player for Liverpool. Rush was also excellent but they did lack something once they let Alridge go I thought.

Souness ruined Liverpool though. As someone said he took a hatchet to them when all was needed was a pruning scissors. His selling of Peter Beardsley for 1.1m and replacing him with Dean Saunders for 2.9m was the worst piece of management I ever saw. He also sold Houghton and Stauntion, both were Irish of course and the foriegner rule was in play which makes the decision to buy Saunders all the more bizarre.
Saunders was good at Villa. Had his name on the back of my first shirt. Houghton and Staunton were good pieces of business too by Big Fat Ron. That was the first Villa side I kind of got following.

Souness was a clown manager. Always was and always will be. Another one with a inflated reputation from the SPL who was found out at a higher level.

He was around a bit longer than 25 years ago though!

Henrik Larrson.

Dunph, lock the thread.

Request denied.

Has anyone mentioned Ally McCoist yet? He was probably the best striker in the world there for a period around 92/93. He also inspired his club to an unprecedented nine domestic league titles in a row.

havent read all the thread as i have 90% of TFK members on ignore but I assume Twiggs been mentioned a few times

That was the first Villa side I kind of got following.

Anyone would think you’ve supported them all yr life by the way u go on bout them.

CLOWN.

Marco Negri…until he blessed himself and never played for the forces of evil again.

Mr moloney I guess you never took the math of your statement above into account. Good lord what a mong you truly are. I suppose it could be said based on my posts and general sporting knowledge that I am a mature sort. Man who has been there and done it all. While that is true to a certain extent I am in my mid 20s in years .

Can’t believe I spelt Larsson incorrectly.

That’s like typing ‘Home and Awey’ - ridiculous.
