Greyhounds Matters šŸ - Supporting Rural Ireland

yep, saturday night has coverage of the 2 semis, thought you were in dublin though?

No, not going up. Had planned to but I have a game tonight and a game early Sunday morning.

After little deliberation, i have backed Airport Pilot at 8/1 to win his heat of the Derby Semi-Final tonight.

Massively over-priced IMHO. Iā€™d make him a 9/2 shot, 5/1 at most.

Dunph if I was you Iā€™d back him ew, he has buckets of pace but donā€™t know how likely he is to actually go past the dog in front, might be more interested in having a quiet word in his ear as they pass the line.

masterclass from the causeway again, final draw isnā€™t too kind to him but hopefully itā€™ll be a clean run race and heā€™ll have the class to come through

Superb from the Causeway again tonight.
The draw for the final looked dodgy as fuck.

After getting the twist from Hangblaa Iā€™m seething that the IGB saw fit to rejig the match race and put it on third instead of as the ā€˜bumperā€™ which meant I missed it and the 4/5 that was available at first show. SEETHING.

Causeway is a machine. No other way of describing it.

The match race ended up being a bit of a joke. Backed the winner at 4/7 but was paid 4/5! Good nights racing all round. Had a few nice winners and the Sea the Stars, Kiowa Myth, College Causeway treble went a long way towards funding the weekend.

What you make of the final draw?
Looked pure staged.

Whatā€™s the final draw? What box is Causeway in?

Shaneboy outside him.

Oran Classic should have a clear run to the corner.

Your man from PP just picked the slips of paper for the draw off the table in an anti clockwise order.

Bent as a four pound note, Runty.

Cashen might be away and gone aswell. I can probably rip up my faypoint docket after that draw.

Oi Oiā€¦

Hope ye all stayed on the right side of Minnies Oscar again, now called Tyrur Quinnā€¦ 28.24 on a track that was not as fast as it was a month ago, some run and a fine big strong dog as wellā€¦

There have been some dogs come out of the Redmills in Kilkenny this year.

As for the draw, Causeway has it all to do now, but reminds of the Hawk in the second year the way track craft he is showing. Far better dog that Hawk also !!

Can Causeway be beaten lads? 5/4 seems a great price or even 6/4 on betfair. Wouldnā€™t expect him to be anywhere close to it on Sat night.

On the match race, Ted Hegarty pulled in some mug punters. He let the other dog drift from even money to nearly 5/2 or 3/1 and roared it out. As more money went on the price got longer. Iā€™d say he must have made a fortune. Some operator.

So the 3/1 drifter won did he?

Stop talking gibberish and explain in layman terms what the outcome was pleaseā€¦

One dog won and another one came second

Still talking gibberish.

So to clarify, did the drifter win?
