up to now, I said premier fantasy was the fastest dog I had clapped eyes on, this included late late show, droopys vieri, bypass byway, maldini, hawk etc.
but at this stage i have to say college causeway is the best derby winner in living memory, it was absolutely great to see the best dog win fairly in a clean run race and blow the rest of them away with no excuses for anyone. I hope this puts to bed any theories about buckley not able to train dogs to win comps, not sure where that came from in the first place, but anyway I’ll definitely be using him at stud in the future. Oi Oi Causeway!!!

He’s the undisputed king of them all now anyway. I wonder will they retire him to stud now? I wouldn’t mind a pup off him myself, what kind of money would you pay for a pup with the very best breeding?
What a fooking night. I’ll say it again, what a fooking night. What a dog. After seeing Sea the Stars last week, this lad is the equivalent in the dog world. Doubt there’ll ever be another derby again like it. From last to first in 3 bends - thought he was a gonner but the turn of pace down the back was out of this world at this level. There’s not too many ways to describe it other than utter utter class.
I started this thread after the first round of the '08 heats after I was so impressed by him (see post 1) and was delighted for Buckley and everyone involved with him last night. He has one litter already out. One of the bitches ran a race in the UK last week and won at 6/1. Another one ran 29.60 in a time trial first time out.
Some other class races as well. 5 winners in all for Mac - Oi Oi!!
Watched that last night despite protests from the in-laws where I was. Hugely impressive stuff. Know nothing about dogs but that was amazing. How long do dogs usually race for?

That’s impressive alright. Do you know what age this dog is Mac?
I see on the IGB website some fella from Kilkenny is generously donating a four month old pup out of College Causeway to charity where it will be raffled off above in Shelbourne Park.
Probably the Runt of the litter though.
I see the mckennas have said they will keep causeway in training because they get so much enjoyment out of watching him run, great decision for fans of greyhound racing.
Got me hands on a certain Mr. Liam McCarthy at Shelbourne Park last night. No Cody though, which was a pity given that Marty Morrissey was hanging around.

Last night greyhound racing saved the country from the recession. Unreal scenes.
