Would the dogs be tested often? Obviously the penalties for getting caught arenāt severe enough?
When youāre reading a dog form, what does SAw stand for? Slow away?? Isnāt this the same as Missed Break?
Slow Away as in slow out of traps. It means a slow first split usually.
What about Crd and Lck?
Also Blk or BBlk?
Not sure about the above 2 Dunph but Blk is balked.
Balked?
Really testing your knowledge of greyhound lingo now Rintintin.
Hereās another: Missedtbl?
Sorry Dunph I wouldnt be the best at this stuf you need SS* or Hangblaa, Balked means when the dog comes up behind another and has to check its run to go inside or outside to pass and loses its stride.
Yeah The Runt was telling me you hadnāt a clue when it comes to the greyhounds alright.
Oh Im a master of the greyhounds Dunph but I don
t need to read a card I can tell how they will run by just looking in there eyes as for tha small fook he wouldn`t know the difference between master mcgrath and a sheepdog. :guns:
Small fook!
Here you go Dunph,
Thereās a decent list of them here:

Crd = Crowed.
Whatās the difference though between missed break and slow away? Iād have thought no difference.

Iād imagine that should be crowded. As in got boxed in at the first bend.
A dog might miss the break but come away sharpish enough once they do break. Where as slow away would mean that he broke ok but just didnāt show much early pace.

Hey Runt, check your texts.
Baulked and Badly Baulked.
The premier Greyhound even in the world is coming up shortly, The Irish Derby. Very open this year and some good young dogs showing well at the minute. The most interesting element this year is the likely entry of 3 american dogs, one Kiowa Myth is starting to become the talking dog of this derby with quotes of 20/1 being bandied about despite this dog not doing an official time as of yet.
In other news Skywalker Queen is now the fasted bitch ever around HQ, what a runā¦
You missed the big ruck between a load of pikeys there the other night HangBlaa, I havenāt seen such fighting at a dog track since I saw Groovy Stan go around Sunderland.
HB & SS** - the nearly spacer dog I was talking to you about last year was being lined up for the Derby this year but he had to be put down about a month and a half go. Savage disappointment for all involved. After winning 2 heats last year they had him primed but think he messed up a leg in training and they had no choice.
SS**, I heard about it okā¦ security lads must have been napping early doors. To happen on Oaks night is not good either.=
Its a tough game Macā¦ Fast ones seem to be more likely to get busted up as well.
