Players have been promised a big holiday to a mystery location should they go all the way.
What a man. One of the greats
Anywhere from Tipp town would be a plus
Magnier might take them in
Nenagh CBS made history today with their first Dean Ryan Cup win.
Dean Ryan Cup U17A HC Final: Nenagh CBS 2-15 St Flannanâs 0-18
Nenagh CBS are Dean Ryan Cup champions for the first time following a stunning 2-15 to 0-18 win over St Flannanâs in Kilmallock.
The Tipperary school scored the final five points of the contest to earn a historic victory with star forward Eoghan Doughan providing 2-10 of their scoring total.
Flannanâs had the aid of a strong breeze in the opening half but were unable to use it to their advantage early doors.
The teams were level three times before five points on the trot from Flannanâs saw them take a firm grip on the final.
Midfielder Dara Kennedy provided four scores that helped them to an 0-8 to 0-3 advantage but Nenagh CBS bounced back into the contest when Doughan buried a penalty to the net after Joe OâDwyer was fouled.
However, the response was emphatic by Flannanâs with James Cullinan, Kennedy, Jason Keane-Hayes and Harry Doherty seeing them to a 0-12 to 1-4 half time advantage.
Eoin Grace opened the second half scoring for Nenagh CBS with a classy effort from the left touchline but Keane-Hayes soon responded with a fine effort of his own.
The teams shared two points each before Doughan was in for another goal chance only to be denied by a stunning stop by Flannanâs netminder MichĂŠal Ă CoileĂĄin.
The Nenagh CBS number 14 was not to be denied a couple of minutes later when Emmet Jones was denied by Ă CoileĂĄin and Doughan clipped the rebound to the net.
That put one between the sides but efforts from Donnacha Mahon, Doherty and Kennedy put Flannanâs in the driving seat once again.
Nenagh CBS needed something big in the final quarter and they got exactly that with three from Doughan and one from Grace levelling the score.
Then, in the final minutes, Patrick Hackett, Doughan and the tireless Duff hit the target to seal history for the north Tipperary school.

A few unfashionable clubs there representing Nenagh.
I presume Doughan is a son of John who was on the fringes of Tipp panels around 20 or 25 years ago.
Only the one townie in the Flannanâs team.
And just the 1 on Nenagh too
Yeah ye must have poor crops currently from looking at that?
Not good
Anyone got results from today?
Fermoy beat Tulla.
Hospital drew with Carrick on Suir
Thanks
I saw CBC score a last minute goal from a 21 to draw and take them through in UL. Rice college were much better from what I saw (I only saw last 20mins), heartbreak for them. They had a centre forward left handed who was class.
Cashel CS beating Templemore a shock?
Jack OâNeill I assume
Yeah Jack thatâs the name. Is he a prospect? What club is he?
Iâm bearing in mind this was astro hurling and I saw 20mins.
Not really. Cashel have 5 or 6 of last years team remaining who are all either county minors or good solid adult club players.
Templemore have Jamie Ormonde who is exceptional but wouldnât have as many of county calibre.
Jack O Neill was centre forward and best player for Clare minors in 2022. He played mid field for their u20s last year and was excellent.
Iâd say he will play senior with Clare in 2024 at some stage. Class left handed player. Unreal athlete.
Heâs from Clooneyquin.
Son of Paul???
