Corn Ui Dhuill kicked off this week also. Not one scree of coverage. The same papers who ignored it will have 16 page pullouts on Leinster schools rugby in January. The Examiner really do a fantastic job promoting second level GAA in Munster.
Leinster GAA used to do a press launch before covid and there would be a good bit of media interest. Its a pity because the standard is generally higher than the Harty.
The standard is more or less the same with far more depth in Munster due to more hurling counties in the province.
Kieranâs monopoly in the Leinster competition does not lend itself to media coverage.
The Harty cup on the other hand has 8-10 schools who are always close and another 16 who go up and down between Harty and B but can be competitive on occasion.
a great win Julio as you say. Hurling is promoted as seriously as football in the Green (CBS) now. North Kerry lads tend to head to The Green in Tralee because of the quality of the hurling promotion there. They have very good hurling people teaching in the Green. Tralee Parnells also contribute players so all in all a positive story
Fair play to Limerick schools for leaving the Green into the Limerick competition is right
Young OâDonoghue missed a score able free to earn CCS a draw.
Hard luck on the chap, he was supposed to have given an excellent individual display.n
Shipped a heavy knock before the free apparently
Not really, thereâs a good few teams around mid table level of the Harty, Templemore fall into that category along with Cashel, Hospital & Charleville.
Best teams in it are thurles, ASR, Midleton, Flannans. Nenagh & CBC will compete also.
