It’s just been announced that Bustin Outta Here will be the next single from Damien Dempsey’s new album. The video for it has been directed by Maser whose street art featuring Damien Dempsey lyrics has been on display around Dublin over the past couple of years.

Also, has anyone listened to any of the original versions of Scottish trad song Fire in the Glen on Youtube? Proves how talented a man he is, the original arrangement and melody is fairly shite, like most things that are Scottish. Damo’s take on it is sublime.

I was once like you. It was only in June that my lady put on his “Shots” album in the kitchen one night. I rolled my eyes. Second time she did so, I began to feel a little, tiny bit of grá for it. Third time and I was hooked. After that it’s the point of no return, you’re a diehard fanatic. He’s like Guinness, really.
