This is a thread for people to post messages of reassurance for Art, and maybe one or two cajoling posts that might encourage him to share what’s on his mind.
We are privileged to have one of the finest legal brains in the country on this website (any doubts, just ask Mac who has the evidence) but his recent contributions have been muddied and marred by a despairing and angry tone.
Have we any feel for how this is affecting his commute time? It used to be that you could set a watch by him, now he’s probably muddling along slowly to work, lost in thoughts .
It’s galling how Art stood up for KIB Man a few weeks ago when his online world was crumbling apart and now the support isn’t being reciprocated. You do someone a good turn and they’re not around when you need a little something back in return.
Art is a poster boy for the effects the cutbacks are having on civil servants.
Art was once fresh faced, with the legal world at his feet and a gilt edged pension pot at the end of the rainbow.
But now Art’s dream of being chief justice of the Supreme Court is now as elusive as the end of that rainbow. As his work load is increasing his take home pay is diminishing. His 8 minute commute has become 10 minutes as he drags his feet glumly into work, a broken and demoralised man.
LOOK AT HIM ENDA KENNY, LOOK AT WHAT YOU’VE DONE TO HIM.

You were asked a question that was slightly awakard and wouldnt be easily found in google or in your law books. it called for interpretation of the law and for you to make a call which plainy you cant do. You fumbled around your law books looking for an answer and didnt have one. Any monkey can copy and paste a bill but God help anyone if they ever ask you to interpret the law?
Im looking out my office now- I can see skyscrapers, a city beach,a massive casino and the best football stadium in the world- Brisbane not Baldoyle
