Lads, I have an old PDF document that I need transcribed to word. I’m fucked if I’m going to do it, is there some online service where I can pay some indian chap to do it for me?
Can you not copy and paste the text off it?

Its not perfect, the document was as auld as the hills when it was scanned, but be jaysus thats a good start! Sound man.

If it was scanned you probably won’t be able to copy the text off it. Haven’t had to do it in a long while but there are lots of sites out there that will allow you to load a PDF and output a text file in exchange for installing Russian spyware on your PC, something like the following:
If it’s text it should be reasonably accurate, if it’s handwriting you are probably goosed.
Can also use Google docs
Very handy but just be careful what sort of documents you are sharing there…
Do not send work documents to any of those sites.

Surley the lads in ‘ilovepdf’ are a sound bunch of harmless hipsters, supping herbal tea and converting docs for every Tom Dick and Harry who sends them in.

I’ve bluetooth earphones here. Work absolutely fine across a range of devices.
I’ve paired them with my work laptop as I’m working from LK city for a few days. They’ve paired but haven’t connected. I’m using a Lenovo E595 Windoze 10 machine. I’ve updated drivers etc. and the fucking things still aren’t connected. Any ideas?
if its a work laptop are you sure they havent blocked the bluetooth connection

failing that you’ll have to switch the audio output to the device
I wouldn’t imagine they have. I might wait til I get back up home and check if another bluetooth device works with it actually.
