You’re wasting your time here bandage, remember you’re taking to a kk man about de teaaaam. They’re so brainwashed that rational thought and basic comprehension of fact is impossible for them.
All that can see is a pure, lovely clean, non cheating, non hurley throwing, non referee influencing, non hurling on the edge bunch of guys that you are absolutely NOT criticise or speak negatively about.
I think you’re taking the bait here pal. He has 10 (ten) all Irelands. 3(three) HOTY awards. 11 (eleven) All stars. He was handy enough.
More than Tommy or JJ he was the general on the field. Especially if things were going against the Kunts.
Even when Skippy was (repeatedly) destroying him, he was mouthing at the rest of them and driving it on.
He’ll replace Cody too. Bring a bit of colour to the set up.
huh?
any personality would suffice, there isnt one person involved in the gga apart from brolly with any personality. maybe cause they failed at normal sports, maybe because they are rural simpletons or maybe cause it attracts dull cunts but there isnt 1 personality in the gga
I think by colour he means ginger
2003 was the Tipp match you are referring to, it was Paul Kelly they targeted with Henry that day with an injured Tommy Dunne playing centre back.
Corcoran played centre back in 2002 and battled manfully iirc
Yep, 2002 was a great game settled by a bit of brilliance by DJ

Well that was some crock of shit
2002 all Ireland semi is the best match I’ve attended. Two really good teams. Kelly and Shefflin at their peak. DJ’s class. Peter Barry outstanding. Tipp capitulated afterwards.
Arrigle’s article, while well intentioned, is hard to read with his usual unnecessary hyperbole
I couldn’t understand half of the gibberish in the earlier link. The transcript of the media event is like something Canice might write.
But you’d have admire the honesty that comes out. He knows he’s been fucking awesome and he’s not hiding behind the usual GAA shite of ah sure I got 2-11 but I was just in the right place at the right time kind of shit.
I don’t believe the thought process around the retirement though. I think that decision was made a long time ago. I find it bizarre that one of his first thoughts was to set about arranging a press conference to announce it.
I see where he’ll be writing a book. That could go either way. 1) He tells the truth about stuff and its mildly interesting or 2) He says nothing and just recounts the details of matches which would be the norm.
You forgot Wooly mate

Listening to newstalk today one of the lads was saying they had interviewed him early in the year and when asked he said he didn’t know. Whoever it was said to him after, go on you must have known when I was talking to you a few months ago, Shefflin said actually at the time I was gearing myself up to go hard back at it.

Bitter post there pal. Take a day or two to chill out. Whether you like it or not KK have the titles and medals to fuck you over X 10.
Measure them up there, Shefflin or Carey, your call. I’ve always admired KK’s mental attitude, to which Shefflin contributed hugely. Better be a winner than a choker…

Canice has worked with Arrigle in the past and who’s to say he won’t again. Kudos to Ger Gilroy for mentioning him during the Shefflin segment on Off The Ball on Wednesday night. Only right as the only one of the old guard left.
Vincent Hogan with some insight from Shefflin on his retirement.
