Hibernian vs. Celtic, Saturday 18th February

It’s Stokes but  nonetheless

Ah that’s a smashing goal

Now Hooper. Once you get them isolated against the back four they’re lethal.

That was a class assist from Stokesy and a cool finish from Hooper.

Matthews very lucky there.

And the second goal:

Brilliant second goal. Great party atmosphere. Tremendous. Hope we score a couple into the away end after half time.

Stokes clearly brought down there.

Very comfortable so far.

Hibs really aren’t up to much at all. No surprise they’re at the bottom of the table with Dunfermline. They’ve done nothing with the ball and they look wide open at the back.

Think we’ve missed a bit of dynamism going forward since Forrest went left and Brown to the right. Matthews is playing that far flank on his own and Forrest looks uncomfortable and has drifted out of it on this side. Also with Stokes often dropping to that flank there is more space on the other flank.

Be great to score into the away end anyway.

Mulgrew does him with the eyes. A goal and an assist for the left back so far.

Hooooooooper

Commons for Hooper.

Alex Salmond, yer a wanker.

Ki makes it 5.

Ledley smacks the bar with a thumping header.

Ah great stuff. Some great performances today - Stokes in particular was an absolute handful for them. Every time he got the ball it looked like a chance for him or for someone else.

Neil McCann explaining the formation quite well on Sky now. It’s a 4-4-2 on paper but the movement from the front six is tremendous.

Hibs in big trouble now - surprised at just how poor they were.

I’ve been collecting some figures lads and I’ve found something interesting, out of Stokes 18 goals this season - 15 of them have been scored away from home.

He’s got 18 in all competitions so far this season, 10 have been in the league.

2 were away to Inverness.
2 were away to Kilmarnock.
2 away to Hibs.
1 away at Aberdeen.
1 away at Dunfermline.
1 away at Motherwell.

The solitary home league strike being again Dundee United in our third game of the league campaign, his other goals scored at Celtic Park were a brace against Rennes in the Europa League.

A hat trick away at Peterhead.
A brace agains Falkirk at Hampden.
A goal away to Hibs in the League Cup complete his tally.

Hooper also boasts a better ratio scoring away from home than scoring at home with 12 goals being scored outside Celtic Park compared to 7 at Celtic Park.

That was immensely enjoyable.

“Fuck you Motherwell, we’re gonna win the league.”

What a wonderful pisstake.
