How?
Who crushed them?
Who opened the gate?
Opening the gate didn’t cause the deaths, the Liverpool fans did by trying to shove through when many of them did not have tickets and were trying to gain entry without it. They should a complete disregard for the safety and wellbeing of their fellow fans. You can’t just gloss over that, even after what they did in Heysel, they showed no willingness to learn or behave better.
game set & match
Precisely.
I don’t like the blaming and finger pointing that the Liverpool fans have engaged in, they should have some introspection on the behaviour of their own fans that day.
The ticketless fans rumour pedalled by the police and The Sun has been proven false in the inquiry.
It’s not a rumour.
The Hillsborough Independent Panel (HIP) report concluded crowd congestion outside the stadium was “not caused by fans arriving late” for the kick-off . The turnstiles, it said, were “inadequate to process the crowd safely” and the rate of entry insufficient to prevent a dangerous build-up outside the ground.
What the jury said: The behaviour of Liverpool supporters did not cause or contribute to the dangerous situation at the Leppings Lane turnstiles.
Another failing of the British justice system.
Did they investigate the pushing and surging of the Liverpool crowd while queuing for entry?
Anyone over 15 actively supporting an English soccer team needs their head examined.
The facts are there for all to see. Hillsborough wasn’t capable of holding such a match. Duckenfield had no experience of dealing with such an occasion nor had he knowledge of the ground. Buffoons wondering why there was a crush when the police, on the instructions of Duckenfield, herded them all to their deaths.
Why wasn’t it capable of holding big games?
Because 96 died at a big match there.
Had it held big matches before?
Yes and there was a massive crush. They avoided deaths by opening the gates, unlike under Duckenfield watch where they left the fans to suffocate.
Just googled it. Big games were played there regularly
Had Liverpool played there in a big game previously
Just googled it
Yes
