Those of us who travelled to the juventus rovers Uefa game can empathise with the hillsborough victims families. We had to deal with aggressive policing and forced segregation and I know the whole incident left TWCB very rattled.
How am I âso upsetâ?
What I took from Scrunchieâs initial post was that he was inferring that Liverpool fans stormed in Athens and that this meant they stormed at Hillsborough. When we all the fault at Hillsborough lay entirely with the police.
Yes, the carry on of the âfansâ in Athens was cuntish. Absolutely. I donât deny that those cunts are probably shouting âJustice for the 96â while at the same time carry on in such a manner as well. But you have scumbag elements everywhere alas.
Youâve scumbag elements everywhere, thatâs the best we can do is it ?
Do you know what you should do with your justice for ''96. Take a photo of a ticketless hooligan necking down his last of 10 lagers, meeting his buddies outside and charging down a crowded lane.
Then put up another one of the people dying against the wire inside. Thereâs your justice. Scumbags who had their own plans for the day and just couldnât give a fuck, exactly as described above (Athens)
Hillsborough had no safety certificate.
Despite having a far bigger support, Liverpool were allocated 24, 356 tickets compared to 29,800 for Forest. Forest fans were able to access the stadium through 60 turnstiles stretching over half the stadium, while Liverpool fans (whether they had Leppings Lane end tickets or not) all had to access the stadium through the 23 turnstiles at the Leppings Lane end.
"
Liverpool were only given that end of Hillsborough as geographically it was the quickest way to get them in and out of sheffield⌠they had more fans and should have got the other end as it was bigger but that would have meant fans from both sides walking past each other and all hell would have broken looseâŚthats often overlooked but it just shows how volatile football games were at the timeâŚ
Hillsborough was a failure by the police and stadium authorities which was then covered up as blame laid at door of the fans - that cover up was deliberate and led from the highest levels who knew the truth - the reason it has dragged n so long is not the tragedy but the cover up and the cover up being a symptom of the way working class people in England and Liverpool in particular were treated by a Government led by Thatcher who had previously suggesting abandoning Liverpool to managed decline
Heysel on the other hand was caused by the drunken behaviour of louts, predominately Liverpool fans.
Listen, until you learn to distinguish between a genuine fan with a ticket who wants to go see a football match and a thug who wants nothing more that a booze up and whatever else take your bleeding heart justice for 96 and shove it up your hole . The reason it sickens the shit out of the rest of us is precisely that , your willingness to bracket the innocent dead with the living scumbag who was partially responsible. Itâs a life sentence and should be carried with shame
What a day yesterday⌠#merseypride at itâs best----- As Martinez said, they picked the wrong city to fuck with
Some good at least has come out of Hillsborough, it has brought the whole world together.
This was a touch of class yesterday-
Comedian Russell Brand has donated funds to the families of Hillsborough victims after suing The Sun newspaper.
The star took legal action against the paper after it claimed he had cheated on girlfriend Jemima Khan with a glamour model.
Yesterday, on the 25th anniversary of the tragedy , he wrote on Twitter: âI got some money suing The S*n who lied about me. I am making a donation to the #JFT96 campaign.â
His announcement was met with thanks from other users.
Charlotte Hennessy, who lost dad James in the disaster, tweeted: "Thank you for all the support Russell.
âWe all appreciate it.â
What % of Nuneaton town fans would that be?
think it was more than Liverpool she suggested that for in fairnessâŚ

Are you seriously lacking in fucking intelligence or what? The Police were at fault for Hillsborough. It has been proven by enquiry. It was mainly due to atrocious crowd management techniques and failure act quickly and decisively when they realised there was a problem.

Would you stop please.
They were not responsible. The police were. It has been proven.

fao @farmerinthecity âŚ
This is what you are looking forâŚ
In â89 there were major roadworks on 2 stretches of the motorway leading to even longer delays for the coaches, and the polices tactic to stop fans from mixing as they approached the ground was to stop all coaches 3 miles from the ground and âwalkâ the fans to the ground surrounded by officers, this meant that a large number of supporters arrived at the ground at one time , not because as reported in the media âthey had been drinking in the local pubsâ but because the police waited until a number of coaches arrived before marching the fans to the ground. Knowing that these delays were inevitably going to lead to fans arriving late at the ground the police could have advised that the kick off be delayed , but never did so ! given that a large number of fans arrived at the ground in one swoop the police also failed to allow extra turnstiles to be opened, instead forcing a large number of fans into an area not able to cope with such numbers. another factor is that sections of âpensâ to the side of the leppings lane were kept locked, had officers been allowed to open these pens the fans could have dispersed into these empty sections of the ground instead of being funnelled into the central pen. police âevidenceâ that fans broke down gates and âpiled inâ were proven to beâ fabricated â . the new inquiry will see footage taken from the b.b.c cameras that shows officers forcing fans BACK into the pens as they tried and pleaded with officers to let them out, strangely police footage of these events has been â lost â and some of what was available proven to have been edited . it is believed that the government of the day actually knew that evidence such as the police footage and police notebooks had been âalteredâ to give a false view of what happened .

pardon my ignorance but how did they prove every person that was in that end of the ground had a ticket?..
