Holiday destinations for the accompanied traveller

Really great spot the science museum. Sometimes they have demonstrations as well which are amazing. The Brits do their museums very well.

I am off to Lisbon today for a few days.

Any recommendations on things to see and do over there*?

  • apart from shoving my thumb up my hole of course.

Trips to Sintra and Cascais are worthwhile if you have time. I went to see Benfica play. Tickets were easy enough got.

The natural history museum is terribly displayed. You can’t see the dinosaur fossils properly, they’re obscured by the information boards.

The Time Out market is cool enough with a clatter of good food options. It’s a lovely city to stroll aimlessly around for a few hours as well, from the big gardens up at the top of the city all the way down to the water

The cans of Super Bock suggest Portugal. I don’t think it’s Lisbon so I’m thinking it’s Porto

The Camino maybe

Outside the barge I’d say

Bualadh bos do Fagan

Jardim do Morro on the south of the Duoro. Lovely spot to watch the sunset

You’d be high up on TFK Poster Quality of Life Index. City breaks, nice local scenery, pictures of pints & attendance at lots of sporting events. Spidey (all that plus restaurant dinners) & Fagan (all that plus hats & cruises) would be up there too, and Tassotti (all of all of that plus parkruns) of course.

Yes, we’ll dock marks for that but my point still stands.
