Holiday destinations for the accompanied traveller

A tip for travellers bringing home wine from the EU. When asked how much wine have you brought back respond in the number of cases of 6 you have not the number of bottles. I was asked how much wine did you bring back. 60 bottles I said. Your man from the Customs heard 60 boxes and I was brought over to one of the sheds and the car was searched. A little misunderstanding that I’ll be avoiding in future.

The other little tip is to keep your receipts and have them handy in the car for verifying that you paid duty on the hooch.

Any recommendations on somewhere to stay for “cheap” (by Irish standards) in East Cork? Likely to be back for a couple of weeks next summer.

Hotel or airbnb style ? You haven’t many options

Bnb really, or self sevice cottages.

Thought I replied to this - we know Barnabrow well. Right now we are looking at a airbnb in Shaganorry.

Dawn breaking on the Andalusian coast, off for breakfast now must then decide whether to have a dip in the pool or in the sea before I’m on the tee at 11:15, 29 degrees forecast for today

I see Ryanair have a seasonal flight from Cork to Alghero in Sardinia. Does anybody know from when does it fly? Hoping to head somewhere in May and with 2 small kids flying from Cork would be probably a lot less stressful.

Summer schedules in general are usually from around end of March I think. I wouldn’t rely on it being the exact same same as this year though.

What a time to be alive place is rocking

Anyone been to malaga area round new year?

Used to do christmas and new year in nerja. Spectacular

Was in nerja 4 years back for a week in summer.
Go on

New years on the balcon, not superficially touristy, great food, Christmas markets. A wonderful place
