Holiday destinations for the lone traveller

Cuba is savage mate. Absolute gem of a place.

Cuba is a place you’ll never forget. Maddest place you’ll ever visit. You’ll leave with more questions than answers. You have the history, culture, and it is in the Caribbean. Not sure is a great destination for a group of lads. Make sure to avoid the government run places and stay in their versions of B&B’s if you can. Varadero and the holiday resorts up the north are worth a visit for a few days for sun,sea and sand Caribbean style, but you’d get no feel for the real country at all. Make sure to spend most of your holiday in the Havana, Trinidad, etc

Not necessarily true. Had the best lads holiday ever back in 2006.

Some of the sessions we ended up on were epic, (granted it was mainly in Havana) The local bars are mad and the house parties dont stop.

Don’t do Barbados anyway Totti. Was there with the missus and it was grand for that but there was fuck all going on for a stag crowd. I have heard terrible things about Jamaica & mixed reports about Cuba

Havana is a party place. Outside of that though the nightlife would be subdued enough.

But the local bars, the house parties and street parties are exceptional. Sessions just don’t stop…

And the whores.

The local women weren’t great in fairness.

The Venezuelan birds however (loads of them in Cuba)

Dominican Republic is meant to be very good for stags. And very seedy.

Can I just ask why this thread was bumped for a fucking stag though? There’s a separate thread for that. Very sloppy from artfoley

i am contemplating another trip to Santa Ponsa in September. £280 for the week flights and accomodation. Could do with blowing off some steam and just going wrong for the week:pint:

Thinking of hitting the states early next fall, probably NewYork but would like to fit in a couple of nights elsewhere too… Any good sites that offer decent packages?

Bump

Book direct mate, will save you a few quid. Aer Lingus usually run US sales every few weeks. Or have a look at what packages ebookers or expedia will offer.

There is a Citizen M hotel opening in Time Square - should be nice and a good price.

For flights Price wise delta probably cheapest but aer lingus nicer experience with newer planes I think

Continental into Newark is the way to fly to NY. Half an hour train ride from there to Penn. JFK is a joke it’s so badly served with transport infrastructure.

Anyone ever done a road trip across America?

I’d say so

Billy no mates here

I have pal. What do you want to know?

Cheers BT. Where’d you go? How’d you go about the rental and that? Few of us been talking about doing it for a while. Might try it for next sept and take in burning man as well.

3 X Funny, 2 X Like, 1 X Useful, he seems to be doing quite nicely thank you very much.

I’m sure when the Odious Cunt smiley is in place, you’ll have lots of mates.
