Wonderfull country.
Saigon is some experience on a night out.
As CM says, well worth a trip into Cambodia for a few days also.

Anyone been to Antwerp?? I’m going on a beer tasting weekend to Belgium in Feb and have no interest in Brussels. I may have a female companion so will need shops to keep her entertained while I score as many beers out of ten as possible.
Couldn’t tell you about the range of beers as I stuck to Duval but Antwerp has an impressive red light district and art gallery. There is a memorable Madonna & Child in the gallery by Fouquet which left a lasting impression.
SS**, you’ve been to a good lot of countries now around the world or Europe, where would you list as the best place to visit or well worth a visit? Wouldn’t mind taking a few days soon maybe mid-week and going somewhere. Have been to Amsterdam i think three times now and there are fellas looking to go again in February but i wouldn’t mind a change. Have wanted to visit Belgium for a while now.
I may have to give the red light a miss, this time. Belgium is king when it comes to beer and as a beer lover It’s my pilgrimage to mecca…But a bit of culture is also a must and The stolen Madonna with the big boobies will make a nice distraction from the boozer for a few hours.
I would go with Belgium too mate, great spot, never understood the criticism of Brussels, a great city. Bruges is a great spot too but might be a bit quiet for a Colin Farrell like yourself! The lads might perfer Antwerp…I found Ghent a bit dull, though I was only there one night. Chocolate, waffles and beer are what the Belgians do so…
I think I’ll go to Granada the day after Clonmel this year. That will be the longest week in history otherwise.
a mystical city …lovely mixture of north african and spanish bohemian feel to the place…Snow capped sierra nevada mountains in the background…quintessential southern spanish city in that nobody is in a hurry and nobody really gives a fook about anything…free tapas in most bars …waste away the evening strolling around the old town of Albaicin where you can gaze across at the magnificence of el Hambre…i recommend you drink the ´el hambre` beer while you´re there…then move onto the Brugal rum…great nightlife there with the large university…serious women floating round too…
fookin love that city…
Vamos Grana !

About €2300 including tour and flts. Visas were around €200 but you need to get them a logn way out. I ended up paying €50 extra to the Kenyan Embassy as I applied within four weeks of leaving.[/quote]
You got done there;you don’t need to apply for a Kenyan visa, just get it on the way in €40/$50 total. Uganda is free for Irish people and Rwanda costs $30, apply online up to 3 days before you arrive, collect and pay when you enter.
Great public transport in East Africa - not very comfortable but makes getting around very affordable. Nairobi - Kigali for €35 makes it viable in my opinion. Local transport is much better than in Ireland in terms of frequency and cost.
for newer posters here you need to bear in mind that pepe is one of this RAF Biggles cunts
Apologies, I should, of course, have mentioned that in my post.

Thanks pal.
I didn’t catch it last night but I have downloaded and I will watch it inside when it cools down a little.
One of my close pals is getting hitched in December so rather than go on the usual stag, there has been a suggestion of a lads holiday. The Caribbean is the area we have identified for sometime in October and the group will consist of circa 10 people with the age group ranging from late 20s to early 30s. What are the most vibrant and affordable islands out there and any general experience of them? Is a week a bit short considering time spent travelling?

You’ll have to write a day off either side for travelling so a week would become 5 days. Not sure where would be good around there for debauchery, maybe cancun?

Most of the islands out there are all inclusive resorts so unless you want to build houses in Haiti the best place would be somewhere in Jamaica. Kingstown is dangerous apparently but yee should be grand. Go somewhere close to where Digicel have offices and you should be fine. Usually a good indicator of decent parts of the islands where there’s a bit of a social scene.
I’ve been looking at Port of Spain in Trinidad and Tobago?
We’ll basically be looking at five nights as Runt pointed out due to travelling, so we’ll be looking for some spot that will have a vibrant nightlife the whole way through. What’s Cuba like in this respect?

The question mark at the end of your first sentence makes no sense.
Havana would be class. But depending on the crowd you’re with it might not suit. I’d go there at the drop of a hat. They don’t like silk shirts though so you might need to improvise.

So did calling Kingston “Kingstown” but at least I let these things go you vile being.
That was a deliberate mistake to antagonize you. I’m here to help Totti. The Caribbean is class so yee will be grand.
Thanks, Mac. I am strongly thinking Cuba now and I think I will be lobbying for this. I don’t really want to be stuck in a place where the nightlife is just dead. I think Cuba is the safest bet in that regards and from my research alcohol, food, etc. seems very well prices - not to mention the culture of the country.
