Oh yeah…
Yeah planning a week in early June in either Spain/Italy/Greece. A mix of chilling out and renting a car/exploring etc
For future reference try Citizen M in London for reasonably priced, new, Central
Rooms are tiny but grand for a night or two
Not a honey moon so?
The @Rintintin and @TreatyStones families are holidaying together this year. What zany action packed time this will be.
Same caravan?
10 man tent.
Ballybunion won’t know what hit it
Was there last summer, stayed just outside Alghero, beaches are amazing, although the best ones are pretty crowded, old town in Alghero is a nice spot with plenty of restaurants etc., food is decent, beer reasonable, 2 and a half hours from Dublin.
Had kids with me so couldn’t tell you about the night life.

pricey?
That will be some time in 2016
Thinking of going to see Liege-Bastogne-Liege at the end of April.
Anyone been to Liege?
I know a Belgian bird who lives not far away so I’ll have someone to hang out with but if Dani Martin got injured in the next few weeks I’m not sure I’d be all that pushed about going unless it’s a decent spot. i.e. if your one isn’t biting there’d have to be a prostitution industry in the city.

Go to Antwerp it’s supposed to be pretty good, i suspect it would appeal to you.
I’m going to see a bike race and meet a bird. I’ll keep Antwerp in mind for another sojourn.
It’s only grand. They’ve red light districts for Thraw anyway. The best thing about Belgium is the food and beer.
You decided against getting married in the end then?
What’s only grand, Antwerp? What is there actually to do? Besides the vibrant sex industry of course.
Yeah, sure HBV sorted me out with some words of wisdom. We’re doing the Bray to Greystones walk tomorrow, mind. Things are good.

I’ve been to Liege pal and I never intend going back. An utter kip where I ended up in a verbal with some extreme right-wingers which was only going to end one way (not in my favour) until a colleague got me out of it.
Started fairly innocuously in one of their endless cafe-bars (to think Michael McDowell thought these would solve Ireland’s ills). A few smart remarks about theIrish passed by the locals, which I should have ignored except there’s too much Limerick City in my DNA and couldn’t let it go. Fairly sharpish there were 5 or 6 more of these cunts hovering and it was looking dubious. Peace was restored by a Dub, of all people, but after we left we got followed around for a bit which was dodgy enough given that we hadn’t much clue of the lie of the land. Of course, I’d had a few and wanted to fight the fuckers which was ludicrous looking back on it.
A shithole. Of course, you could try watching it from Bastogne which I believe has recovered well since Ze Germans were fucked off out of it.

Hmmm. I’d like to be near to the finish. And the bird I know tells me it’s actually finishing in Tilif this year, just south of Liege and just north of Esneux where she lives, so I guess it’s possible I could avoid spending much time in Liege itself. I really just want to go for the jaunt, hopefully see the win, experience the atmosphere, eat frites with mayo, get drunk with this girl, ride her, head back to Brussels and fly home.
