Yeah Antwerp. It’s a good looking City, rich. I was only there for a night and stayed with friends. There’s a very impressive 6 story museum, cool to drink a beer on the roof of that. Beer and food is the best thing about Belgium, they have unreal did and their traditional bars are great (if you like the gay beers and working through massive menus of beer in bars with a selection of 100+ beers). I don’t know if the sex industry is vibrant but we did cycle through a red light street on the way home from beers so the option is there anyway.
@Julio Geordio , did you book Sardinia in the end?
“drinking beer on the roof of a museum”…
how much did you pay for the services of a prostitute there pal? did you engage in watersports, teabagging?
Sadly not mate. But I’ve heard great things since and it’s on my hit list
@Thrawneen, of all the towns in Belgium, Liege is the one I would least like to revisit. A bleak post industrial landscape. A bit like Waterford but without the coastline.
Jaysis, not too much love for Liege. I’ll have to imagine the bike race will bring an atmosphere. Every hotel in the city is sold out…
A few lads I know from cycling have been there and said its a right dump @Thrawneen.
Going to a classic and getting on the side sex - you’re my hero mate!
I heard its not great. Not the best spot but there’s worse. Its fairly standard.
Thanks @myboyblue .
Has anyone ever taken any scenic train routes through Europe? I am looking at maybe doing a few days of skiing somewhere in the Alps and would love to take a nice scenic train route to a nice city somewhere in Europe, stay for a couple of days before flying home. Don’t have anywhere specific in mind but would be interested if anyone has done something similar.

Looks amazing. I’ve always wanted to do a few of the great train routes. What a fabulous mode of transport.
Copenhagen is a possible destination for me in September or October.
Anyone been there? What is it like?

The barista girl in my local cafe was there at the weekend and told me it was enjoyable. She said the run down hippy commune that was set up in the 60s just outside the city is the main tourist attraction and is something quite different to be seen. Make of that what you will.

I was there a couple of years ago. It is a brilliant city and the people are very friendly. Expensive for boozing but lots of places do happy hours and other promotions. I was there in February I think so there was still plenty of snow around. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
Thanks lads
So Copenhagen has a commune, a park and an endorsement from Horsebox. Sounds class.
thats 2 pops you had at me today mate, all ok?
