I stayed in a lovely room there Oct Bank Holiday Sunday last year and it was 140 quid for B and B for 2. Decent value considering what we got. I think it’s about 200 quid for the best rooms in the summer

Lahinch was closed early in the day but assumed that was cos tide tide right in and didn’t want swimmers smashed on rocks.
Kids had surf school from midday and then all swam all afternoon in it tho, was absolutely gorgeous. Great waves and water temp perfect. Added bonus- the ecoli does wonders for the bowel.

I met him back there when I stayed. I remember him playing for a very good Munster U 21 team with a friend of mine. Seems like a nice lad. He does all the cooking there he had been a chef in the Merrion hotel he said. Took over the family business

smashing. little further from the town and at an altitude higher than expected. meant lugging 4 fucking bikes on the back of the car all the way from dublin was entirely unnecessary. rusting is all theyre presently used for.
other than that, nice routine of morning and afternoon swims. out for a meal every second night. very dear around but holidaying at home, expect it. havent even bothered chancing a pint, sup at home.
waves have stolen the show. afternoon waves have been savage, just brilliant. while thyve given the medium sized ones a go and gotten confidence from the surf school. the kids are terrified watching me take on the big waves, can hear them screaming “daddy dont do it, come back”!! Clearly theyve yet to learn Bohdi and Johnny Utah are characters loosely based on my noosa/byron exploits
