I dont know if you did this or not but no, everything is closed at the moment. Still hasn’t started up again yet. Ordinarily it would be good for a night out. Book evening dinner at the Batched Loaf a few weeks in advance, it will sell out.
Switched to Nuremore in CMX as have a buddy living up there and we will catch up with him and his missus. The reviews for the hillgrove put me off.
Not going until the 13th August so hopefully most things open then.

Stopped in a village for a walk around and lunch. They all seem to still live in 18th century thatched cottages.
@Fagan_ODowd, I was in Dungarvan today. I’d forgotten how nice a spot it is around there. I had an hour to kill so I took a spin around Ring, Helvic etc. Christ Ring has changed some amount since I did my few stints down there as a young lad.

Might be getting away for a few nights in August (10/11th) if we can find something not too expensive within a 90 minute radius. Even some backwater like Cavan could do the job. Some kind of self catering job with hotel facilities on site would be nice, or an AirBnB. If anything springs to mind for anyone, hit me up (Slieve Donard unavailable @mickee321)
