Drive out to Lough Gur.
Are your children roughly the same age as mine ? 5/6 & 3/4 ?
If you’ve good weather, Curraghchase forest park is lovely place to walk around and you could combine it with the pet farm next door (I’ve never been but it seems popular). Curraghchase is a 20min drive from the city.
If you are looking for some place to eat then afterwards you are only 10 mins from Adare and Lena’s would be very child friendly for pub grub.
How old are the kids
There’ll be about 800 replies here by 6pm @Mac.Most will be about hurling.
Just as well Mike Casey and Richie Mac don’t have competing kids farms
You can come out and pet my animals for a small fee, there’s also tractor riding and fertiliser spreading. The kids can try out power hosing and I’ll show them how to hold a yard brush properly, they can also try building ancient stones in a wall. All for a small fee.
There’s a roller skating rink in limerick and one of those trampoline places, there’s also tons of fun which is your standard ball pit, slide etc operation.
There’s a very good playground in Mungret park, which has loads of stuff.
Restaurants wise, Finnegans in annacotty Is famous for its roaster pleasing cc @Tassotti
I think Cork (Middleton distillery and Spike Island) and then west Cork (Mizen head, Cape Clear, Dursey) will be my next domestic vacation. I’ve not been there since I was a child.
What chick flick have you lined up for the occasion? Leap Year has some moments of fun.
You left out graipe-fighting, dung spreading and stone counting.
You’re onto a good thing here, one of them useless tech cunts beside you will horse up a website.
Was down at Dursey there recently. Tis some trek. Savage drive around the beara way
Bunratty Castle is a good day out as well. Has a few animals knocking around along with a decent playground which the children would enjoy. You would pass 3 or 4 hours there handy and can bring picnic etc if you want.
PJ Clarkes near the castle does great grub too, dunno what it would be like with children.
Great spot for food.
Twould be an area I’m not familiar with at all. Won’t get a better chance than now.
We could arrange a seat for @mac and the kids in a JCB bucket to watch some county championship games. Then give them a go at the controls afterwards
One for the Limerick Bucket list ok .
