Spent the morning down in Rocky Bay, handsome

Anyone here in Castlegregory recently? Haven’t been in years. What’s the car parking situation like there?

Abandon your car on the side of the road when you meet the line of cars abandoned on the side of the road. Same as always

There’s a new pizza place in Castlegregory that’s supposed to be top notch

The pizza place is what drew my attention to it

The parking is the reason I don’t go there. Same as always so… Pain in the hole with kids

There are tons of beaches nearby as nice if not nicer. And there’ll be no one on them.

There’s a petting zoo thingy in camp, It’s the most ingenious use of what must have been the worlds most unprofitable farm I’ve ever seen. Tiny. But it’s got alpacas and sheep you get to feed, a few rabbits etc to pet, a trailer they drive you around in, pedal karts, playground etc. Pass a couple of hours. Nice cafe in there as well.

There’s a grand beach just down the road from there then which there’ll be very few on.

About ten mins for Castlegregory then.

There’s loads of gorgeous little beaches either side of Castlegregory that’ll be quiet. Just drive down a side road and you’ll end up at one somewhere.

Derrymore is a nice beach a bit further from Castlegregory but still only about 15 minutes

Castlegregory town? Just park up on the big car park at the shop, never had a problem

How many times a year do you frequent Murphys of Brandon?

As much as possible. Maybe ten or twelve. I guess between September and April we’d only be there once or twice.

I always get a spot at the shop as well. Never an issue

He’s talking about the beach

I got battered hake there last week. Absolutely unreal.

Drive on out to the maharees and the beach out there has noble parking.

Whats the jellyfish situation like at the moment

Curracloe and Duncannon beaches closed and not letting anymore people in due to crowds and lack of social distancing.

Getting settled in for a nice week in the Deise, stunning scenery as we took the back roads from Cahir to Dungarvan, lovely lunch in Merry’s of Dungarvan, the town is looking beautiful
Gonna head to the beach now that we have the keys and the car is unpacked

I’ve never had an issue parking at the beach by the inflatables but it wouldn’t usually be on a blistering summer Saturday
