That was your first mistake
I’m on about the gaa you tard. Kerry this Kerry that is all you hear from the Limerick brigade when your own crowd are out.You especially
You do realise this is the holidays in Ireland thread ?
I don’t give a fuck what it is
Kerry is an over priced, over hyped county – few scenic spots but West Clare , Galway, Mayo, Donegal and West Cork are just as wild and scenic…
You’re not far from Killalla and even sligo there. Great beaches around there. The Ceide Fields in Ballycastle is worth a visit but not much craic for kids. Clare island is worth a visit weather permitting. Take the ferry out from Roonagh!
As mentioned achill Is the business
Connemara is much nicer than Kerry. Dog’s Bay - holy fuck. Kerry isn’t close to it for beaches.
Kerry’a big advantage is that it has the tourist infrastructure - the pubs and restaurants, the nightlife.
That’s the thing when holidaying in Ireland, especially with children, parents have to weigh up the options for the days when it pisses rain. Connemara is class, but if you aren’t driving around and going to beaches etc, the options are pretty limited.
You’re right. Maybe they should try to push the whole Atlantic coast with some sort of marketing effort.
The ‘Wild Westerly Way’ maybe?
The Way Wild Atlantic dude
Do you mean a way of showing the Wild Atlantic?
If you go about 2 miles past Dogs Bay and take a left turn down a little Boreen you can drive down to Murvey Beach
You would almost have it to yourself any day of the year
You can see Finnegans from the top
Enniscrone itself could do with a lick of paint. But it’s a fine beach.
Maybe covid will save the seaside town
It was really really windy when we were there a few weeks ago. Lovely beach though.
Savage golf course here too
