We’re in clonakilty for week in June. Will take spin down there one of the days.
From what I’ve seen on Internet West Cork is unbelievably underrated.
Looking forward immensely to 4 days in Carrickmacross this week.
The barbecue lamb in the Nuremore is off the chain
Savage deals to be had on the forecourt of the petrol station just beside the aldi/lidl on the way into the town. You’ll not need to buy bog roll or ariel powder for the next year.
Friend was there last summer, had a great time.
Fuck
There isn’t much in Bantry. Sorry @Pirlo
Decent base though… Tip on down to Schull and down to goleena and barleycove.
Dursey Island worth a drive as well.
I’ve copped that alright, was thinking more of a base sure all there seems to be in Bantry is the house. Hoping to get down around Dursey and Mizen and head north towards Kenmare and Guagan Barra as well. Barleycove and Schull on the radar as well alright.
My buddy moved down to Bantry and is a guard there. Will meet for a bit of lunch but can’t go mad on treks as will have 8 week old in tow. That glengariff ferry to the Italian gardens looks the job
We’ve no preference where we go for a couple of nights away. Either a city break or a rural retreat, any hidden gems?
Belfast is a great city for a couple of nights away. Maybe not July
Blairs cove isn’t that hidden but is a savage spot deep into West Cork. For a man that likes his grub it would be ideal
Looks good but pretty much booked out
Did ya try airbnb’s?
No interest in that. Want a hotel so you’ll be guaranteed dining and bar. Been drinking at home on the couch for long enough!
100% get ya, what I’m at for myself.
What dates?
Glengarriff is a good base
Ah me and me mate have it and all now, raging now I wasn’t on this a few months ago, perfect place to ask. We’d no bother with the driving part. And sure hotel we’re staying in has a bar and that for the evening so we’re happy enough.
