Holidays

Bring it with you. For ease of transport you should wrap the powder into packages and tape it to your body.

Rocko would get a warm welcome.

Going on Monday. I presume they stock goat’s milk and fennel tea so we might just move to that anyway.

Most Spanish chemists stock some form of Aptimal but it’s slightly different to the one you get in Ireland. They only stock the powder too, not the premade stuff.

The pre made stuff is a godsend in a bind. Always handy to have a few of them in stock.

Well @Rocko, how did you get on?

In short, I had a lovely time.

Slightly longer answer is that I had a lovely time that was improved by your advice but I had some constructive feedback for you on your recommendations and points of information that I planned on sharing with you but my wife has forbidden me from doing so.

“That was a very helpful thing for that guy to do and don’t you dare complain about his advice.”

“His advice was very good, I’d just be expanding on it and drawing attention to some minor points of emphasis and clarification.”

“Well nobody will ever go to the website if you’re mean to everyone.”

“It’s sort of expected to be mean.”

“That’s nonsense. You better not say anything bad about his advice that he took the time to write out for you.”

“Can I at least tell him that I have feedback that I’m not allowed to share?”

“That would be very childish but do what you want.”

I’ll ask Mrs. Fran if I can entertain some constructive feedback.

Ok, let me have it, both barrels

Ungrateful bollocks.

Have any TFK Father’s brought an eight week old on holiday? Ateing from the tap so no issues there.

Want sun. Within next four weeks.

Also bringing a two year old.

  1. Am I bonkers?, if not;
  2. Destinations

Not a bother just keep em in shade etc. got a passport already?

If you want sun in the next four weeks, I’d say the canaries would be your best bet, or southern Greece. You need to keep the flight as short as possible with the two little ones, so head straight south.
It’ll be grand. Spain and Italy are great with kids.
You’ll get some uber bargains also.
We holidayed with kids that age and enjoyed it.
Worth getting a decent room wherever you stay as youll be sharing it with them.

Disagree. Longer flight can mean more chance for them to get a good nap in. 4 hours to the Canaries is just perfect.

EG, if you want guaranteed sunshine you could head for Dubai and airlines will give you the thing on the plane for the kids to sleep in. The risk of being bombed might put you off though.

Between the ages of his young ones they mightn’t get much sleep. In any case, I was referring to the canaries as a short flight, as opposed to the southern states, Mexico, South Africa etc, where you’d be guaranteed a bit of sun.

Not if you’re going for a week or two, unless you want to spend three days of your holiday on a plane.
I wouldn’t anyhow.

I’d go with the ‘don’t go somewhere too hot’ advice. Last thing you want is the baby all out of kilter for the first 3 days. and your missus going nuts.

And obviously, most importantly @balbec’s reminder of a passport!

North Coast of Spain next summer. With kids. Any recommendations?
