Home brewing beer

I opened a bottle of this tonight. About 4 or 5 days early but I was curious. The suspense was over when there was the distinctive ffft when I opened the cap with the bottle opener and I could see a little gas. It’s a gently carbonated affair. Less gassy than bottled Guinness but will be lovely chilled.

Enjoy it bud. I have to say, I can’t abide bottled Guinness though.

If you’d grown up in it you’d think differently

40 pints of golden ale (expected ABV 4.7%) bubbling away in the fermenter. To be bottled next Monday for drinking in September.

Moving up a gear from my next project. 30 pints of a Red India Ale. 6.3% abv. It will be dry hopped and require the use of a hydrometer and thermometer.

…and yeast fagan. Dont forget the yeast.

I didn’t forget the yeast.

I’d love to taste that if you could find a way to drop some of it to a secret location between the peninsula and Waterford

I’ll leave a bottle in the ditch outside Sha Roe sometime.

Would you believe I was there a few weeks ago again and didn’t post about it here? I’ve taken your jibes on board
