Home brewing beer

1 litre ones.

Eventually oxygen permeates plastic. But it can take years. My beer doesn’t last that long.

Informative rating.

:+1: sound advice there, in the summer. A heat belt is going to have a tough job keeping the wort at anything close to adequate temperature in the winter. 10 heat belts maybe?

In defence of @Fagan_ODowd, maybe he was thinking of ‘lagering’ in the shed.

The bloop bloop has started already.:pray:

A vision of Walt White from Breaking Bad comes to mind as I follow our intrepid hero’s adventures gathering pace. Julio is falling nicely into the sidekick role and further reports are anticipated - an explosion the hotpress hasn’t been ruled out.

I’m paranoid about it :see_no_evil: Not my first batch. No major casualties yet, other than the last batch could have striped wall paper.

You can buy beer in Romania in 2.5 litre plastic bottles.

Not that I didn’t doubt you.
Wouldn’t it be alright for a party? Just throw one on the table at a time.

They drink it like water there at meal times

Twenty litres of stout bottled today. Approx 4.3% vol.

Can you explain to me what’s the difference between and pilsener and a lager? Apart from the fact that pilsener tastes nicer.

A Pilsner is a pale lager.

All pilsners are lagers but not all lagers are pilsners

Couldn’t stomach them during my wet pub days ( awful terminology :sweat_smile:wet pubs FFS)

That explains it then.

To my untrained palate, pilsners are generally made with more hops which is why the taste is a little bit towards a pale ale.
