Ruth Coppinger was on Morning Ireland this morning talking about the issues with school construction at the moment. In the space of two minutes she said this incident showed it was clear that the private sector was not to be trusted and relied upon to deliver state infrastructure then when asked whether the Dept of Education (i.e public-sector) had questions to answer stated that they had many questions to answer, queried the accountability and suggested this wasnât a one-off.
So thatâs both the private and public sector who canât do what you want then Ruth right?

Piece on Morning Ireland there that families are staying in emergency hotel accommodation rather than going on the HAP because they want local authority housing instead of joining the private rented sector.
Sure thatâs well known but you arenât allowed to say it because the glasflakes will have a seizure. They are also deliberately making themselves homeless to jump the queue. And why wouldnât they sure.

The homeless hap rate in Dublin for a family is around 2000 a month. Normal hap rate is around 1400. Thats a fair difference if you are looking for a place and it has led to people registering as homeless. Itâs also very true that theres people out there who wonât even go to viewings as they are holding out for a forever home. Thatâs why the homeless priority list was done away with during the year. Being homeless no longer bumps you up the list.
