Hotels In Ireland

Asador on Saturday night.
Starters were good, I thought the steak was average enough and expensive for what you got.

Stayed in The Davenport Saturday night, nice hotel, fine room.

The Eire Times weren’t a fan. I’d imagine most of the new hotels will follow a similar model

Sounds like the Hoxton in Holborn

I’m in the mount errigal in Letterkenny at the moment. It’s grand but a bit dated. My highlight has been the freezing cold plungepool beside the sauna.

Ideal the weekend of a stag

Sure you didnt need to go to Donegal for freezing cold water

Ah jaysus looking at that I actually had one of the big rooms :grinning:

Jesus, is that place still going? Had a few do out there back in my letterkenny RTC days

Was just thinking that’s classic new ingerlish style

I’ve to head down to LK for a couple of days this week but pery Sq is booked. is the limerick city hotel or the clayton any good?

I normally stay at home with my family when I’m in Limerick pal, so I wouldn’t be able to advise. I’d say most limerick posters are the same. Maybe try @mac?

I’d put the Clayton ahead of the other one. Limerick City Hotel is the old Jury’s and I don’t think they did much freshening up when they changed the name.

Anyone ever stay at The Aghadoe outside Killarney? Is it a cheaper version of The Europe?

It is. I’d have it ahead of the Europe

Stayed there for a night only a few weeks back. It’s a bit higgledy-piggledy, bits built on to an old style guesthouse; the new rooms are very nice though. Staff are good too.

Trumps place in Doonbeg have a 30% off sale at the moment. Very friendly service there and can gets a links cottage at a much reduced rate. They provide shuttle buses free of charge to and from village as well if you want to head in to Tubridys for a few pints. Round of golf is only €50 as well.

Yeah and it looks like it would be quieter than The Europe and less poser-ish.

Stayed in The Killarney Oaks a while back for a wedding. It doesn’t look like much from the road but I was very impressed with the interior. The bar staff were on the ball too. Smashing views too and the walk around Muckross Abbey and Park just across the road

Pery sq is poor enough… Did you mean to book Pery no.1
